Back in 2004, the now controversial 5,000 acres of land was just a desolate saline land. The local farmers signed a contract with the village and town government, the contract period is 30 years, and the fee has been paid twice, with a total amount of 158,000 yuan, equivalent to only 0.94 yuan per mu per year - this price, even a pack of spicy noodles can not be bought!
Time flies, and the land turns from waste to gold. After more than 10 years of hard work and a large amount of input from farmers, the original saline-alkali land has miraculously become fertile watered land.
