On April 21, on the occasion of the 55th World Earth Day, Rongcheng Puji Public Welfare Foundation, Tianjin Development Area Charity Association and Xindishan City Meeting Room jointly held the "Protect the Blue Planet and Build a Green Ecology Together" Ecological Education Public Welfare Salon.
Wang Jianmin, a well-known bird expert and director of the Jiangbei Wetland Conservation Center of Tianjin Binhai New Area, was invited to give a lively and interesting lecture on ecological and environmental protection knowledge to the children. Wang Jianmin explained the current challenges of environmental protection in simple terms based on his personal experience, guided the children to understand the relationship between birds and humans with vivid and touching stories, and led everyone to think about how to protect the ecological environment from their own beginnings. Under the leadership of Wang Jianmin, the parents and children who participated in the salon conducted a learning trip about ecological protection, and the atmosphere was positive.
At the scene, Wang Jianmin also shared a documentary on bird rescue. The documentary tells the story of how an Oriental White Stork, whose life was in danger due to encountering an animal trap, was rescued from danger and successfully released back into the wild with the help of wetland conservation volunteers, which is also Wang Jianmin's personal experience. Watching the Oriental White Stork in the film get out of danger and take off and return to the flock with the help of the volunteer team and veterinarians, the event erupted into warm applause. The film once landed on CCTV-1 "Animals Are Coming" channel.
After the lecture, in response to the theme of "Earth vs Plastic" on Earth Day 2024, the event also invited families to rejuvenate discarded empty bottles through handmade DIY, and let children complete a show of environmental protection works of "turning waste into treasure" by themselves. Storage box, pen holder, wind chime...... Creative handmade works are constantly being created, allowing children to understand the meaning of "harmonious coexistence between man and nature" in a vivid and intuitive way.

At the end of the event, Rongcheng Puji Public Welfare Foundation, as the representative of the organizer, issued a certificate of "public welfare participation" to the children who participated in the salon, hoping to enhance the children's awareness of environmental protection and further stimulate the children's enthusiasm for environmental protection.
