Guanzhong Academy is the highest institution of learning in Shaanxi in the Ming and Qing dynasties, and is known as the "crown of the Northwest Academy". It is located in the southeast of Xi'an Fuzhi, near the south gate of the city wall, Yongning Gate, and is located at the west entrance of Shuyuanmen Street, from which the street name is derived. From March 1, 2023, it will be open to the public for free (daily limit, please make a reservation in advance, and enter with your ID card).
The source is long, and the roots are deep. Nowadays, Guanzhong Academy is strengthening cooperation with education, cultural relics, tourism and other departments, in-depth excavation and sorting out the history of Guanzhong Academy and its scholars, refining the essence of Guanzhong Academy, focusing on cultivating people with virtue, and making Guanzhong Academy a "big school" that vividly inherits the Chinese cultural context.
Education, culture and tourism are integrated and complement each other in the academy. In 2023 alone, more than 200 research activities will be held at Guanzhong Academy.
