Yangliu Village, located in the former Yangliu Village of Hushu Street, was founded in the seventh year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1579), and is the oldest residential building complex with the longest history, the largest area and the most complete preservation among the civil buildings in Nanjing. The alleys between the houses are all paved with bluestone slabs, and the stone is the step, so it is known as the saying that "the bluestone is the stone gatehouse, and the willow is not muddy". In addition to the bluestone street, the three carving skills of "brick carving, wood carving and stone carving" can be called the "three uniques", which is a typical ancient residential building in the south of the Yangtze River, and is known as the reputation of "a small paradise outside the world". In 2013, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.
