More than 800 (544+258) women and junior tennis players from 40 countries and regions including China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore signed up for the 2024 "Science City Cup" ITF International Women's Tennis Tour Shenzhen Guangming Station (W50) and the 2024 ITF Junior U18 Tennis Tour Shenzhen Guangming Station (J60). In the end, a total of 412 athletes qualified for the Women's Tennis Tour and the International Tennis Federation Junior U18 Tennis Tour, and gathered at the Guangming District Mass Sports Center from April 7 to April 21 to carry out 218 exciting matchups.

Thailand's Penn CHARUSORN/Singapore's Maximus Zavier WONG and China's Lu Mengqiao/Wang Jiayi won the men's and women's doubles titles respectively, while Chinese teenagers Xia Yue and Li Yuyao won the men's and women's singles titles. Guangming teenager Ye Pengfei showed his head in the international tournament, successfully defeating the No. 8 seed player from Thailand, becoming the first junior tennis player in Guangming District to have an international ranking.
At the players' welcome dinner, Guangming's special food and wonderful "Chinese Music Ensemble Guzheng Performance" were deeply loved by the athletes, and they talked about it with relish. At the same time, the athletes spoke highly of the bright organization and guarantee of the event, whether it was transportation, life or all aspects of the competition, they all appreciated the thoughtful and meticulous service of the organizing committee and staff. After the 2024 ITF Junior U18 Tennis Tour Shenzhen Guangming Station (J60), the young athletes went to the Guangming District Urban Planning Exhibition Hall with medals in hand. From the stadium to the exhibition hall, the athletes sighed that the application of AI, holographic images and other technologies in the Guangming District Urban Planning Exhibition Hall was full of futurism. The athletes also participated in interactive experiences such as the flying theater to experience the development history and humanistic features of Guangming up close, as well as the construction heat and innovation momentum of Guangming Science City.
