At about 21 o'clock on April 23, the Hongwen Road Fire and Rescue Station in Qixingguan District received the dispatch of the command center of the Municipal Fire and Rescue Detachment, and a traffic accident occurred on the S211 provincial highway in Dashui Cave, Xiaoba New Street, Xiaoba Town, Qixingguan District, and one person was trapped in the cab and needed to be disposed of. After receiving the dispatch, the Hongwen Road Fire and Rescue Station in Qixingguan District immediately dispatched 2 vehicles and 9 people to deal with it.
After arriving at the scene, the fire and rescue personnel learned that in order to avoid the sanitation truck parked on the side of the road during the driving of a truck, the driver of the truck immediately stepped on the brakes and quickly hit the steering wheel to the left, causing the truck compartment and the sanitation truck to collide and roll over to the ground, and stop after hitting the curb. At this time, the front of the truck was severely deformed, and the driver's leg was stuck by the steering wheel and gear lever and could not move.
After understanding the situation, one fire rescue personnel entered the cab and used hydraulic expansion pliers to expand the gap between the steering wheel and the seat. During this period, the fire and rescue personnel covered the upper body and face of the trapped driver with clothes, and constantly comforted and questioned the driver.
After 11 minutes of intense rescue, the trapped driver was successfully rescued and handed over to the on-site medical staff to be sent to the hospital for examination and treatment.
