"The commissioning of the substation will further improve the power supply quality of Kaiyuan area and provide reliable power guarantee for the high-quality development of Kaiyuan. Zhang Ke, member of the Party Committee and deputy general manager of Yunnan Honghe Power Supply Bureau of China Southern Power Grid, told reporters that the 220 thousand volt Zhiyuan power transmission and transformation project is a provincial and state key project, and it is also a key project of the "14th Five-Year Plan" of Yunnan Power Grid Company of China Southern Power Grid, and the project is responsible for the project planning and construction by the Honghe Power Supply Bureau.

The total investment of the project is about 229 million yuan, designed according to the standard of intelligent substation, the main transformer capacity is 360 megavolt ampere, and the construction of 4 times 220 kV outlet, 5 times 110 kV outlet, 8 times 10 kV outlet, a total of about 51 kilometers.

After it is put into operation, Zhiyuan substation will become the second 220 kV substation in Kaiyuan area, which will mainly supply the load to the northwest of Kaiyuan City and Xicheng District, meet the power supply demand of the new load, greatly improve the power supply capacity and reliability of the Kaiyuan area, and add new impetus to the high-quality economic and social development of the whole state.

It is reported that the 220 kV Zhiyuan power transmission and transformation project will start construction in May 2023. The Honghe Power Supply Bureau and relevant departments have efficiently coordinated in the handling of project approval, agricultural transfer and requisition, land allocation, forest land and other formalities, creating a new model of "government-enterprise cooperation".

In order to comprehensively improve the level of project construction management and promote lean management in the whole process, the owner's project department has compiled the "one book" of the 220 kV Zhiyuan power transmission and transformation project with the concept of "whole process and whole domain" to implement lean management of the whole process of project safety, quality, progress, cost and materials, and at the same time overcome the factors such as complex on-site operating environment, changeable climate and difficult regional coordination, so as to ensure the safe, efficient and high-quality promotion of the project, and achieve "zero defect" production 69 days ahead of schedule.
