About the Institute
Guangzhou Nansha University Binhai Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as "Binhai Research Institute") is an important layout of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) facing the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and serving the marine industry, jointly established by the university and the Management Committee of Guangzhou Nansha Economic and Technological Development Zone, signed a co-construction agreement in June 2022, and officially registered as a private non-enterprise independent legal entity in August.
Relying on the advantages of the university's disciplines, talents and platforms, the Binhai Research Institute has set up a marine microalgae germplasm center, built the Guangzhou branch of the State Key Laboratory of Biogeology and Environmental Geology, the Guangzhou branch of the Key Laboratory of Deep Geothermal Resources of the Ministry of Natural Resources, and the Guangzhou branch of the Key Laboratory of Legal Research of the Ministry of Natural Resources.
