Today is April 24th
China Space Day
From the ancient myth of Kuafu chasing the sun and Chang'e running to the moon
to manned spaceflight, the "Tiangong" space station......
Chinese people have always been full of infinite yearning for the starry sky and the universe
It has also been pioneering and innovating
On April 18, 2024, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the State Council, and the Central Military Commission decided to award Gui Haichao the honorary title of "Heroic Astronaut" and the "Third-Class Aerospace Merit Medal". On May 30 last year, the Shenzhou-16 manned spacecraft was successfully launched, and he was successfully stationed in the Tianhe core module, staying in orbit for 5 months, and returning safely on October 31, 2023. This marks a new step in China's aerospace industry's high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-reliance!

As a payload specialist
Gui Haichao explores more scientific mysteries on behalf of China
Extend the footsteps of the continent to explore the vast universe
A 5-month "space business trip"
What were some of the most interesting experiences?
Let's take a look

Discover the secrets of "growing vegetables in space".
The second-generation space plant cultivation device of the space station "new", Gui Haichao found through the synchronous control experiment of heaven and earth that the reason for the better growth of ground vegetables is that plants have no gravity in space, only water, so the root system is not easy to penetrate deeply, and the ability to absorb water and nutrients is also weakened. Gui Haichao explores the secrets related to the "space vegetable garden" and brings us the green side of life on the space station.

As the first manned mission of China's space station after entering the application and development stage, Gui Haichao's in-orbit work arrangements have also become normalized. There are five main types of tasks:
The first is to drive a manned spacecraft to rendezvous, dock and return. Assist in the docking and evacuation of visiting aircraft such as cargo spacecraft and survey telescopes to ensure the normal rotation and supply of personnel and materials;
The second is to take care of the space station assembly platform. It includes aircraft status setting, in-orbit material management, platform equipment maintenance and inspection, installation of equipment inside and outside the cabin, and payload in and out of the cabin to ensure the safe and stable operation of the space station platform.
The third is the health management of the crew itself. Including health status monitoring, on-orbit exercise training, etc., to ensure the healthy work and life of astronauts in orbit;
Fourth, on-orbit actual (test) tests are carried out. Use the space station's internal and external application facilities to carry out large-scale scientific research and application to ensure that the application benefits of the space station are fully utilized;
Fifth, deal with abnormal situations. It includes emergency response to on-orbit faults, on-orbit maintenance and replacement of faulty equipment, and extravehicular maintenance operations through out-of-cabin activities when necessary to ensure long-term stable operation of the space station.

Lecture in space
Gui Haichao and his companions vividly showed the work and life scenes of the Mengtian experimental module of the space station for the teenagers, interacted with each other, demonstrated interesting experiments, and vividly explained the scientific principles behind the experiments. Carry out interesting science popularization and public welfare activities, such as Tiangong classroom teaching, public welfare video shooting, etc., to maximize the comprehensive benefits of the space station.

In the field practice in the space environment, Gui Haichao and his companions gave a vivid and profound physics lesson to the teenagers in the "air".
Space Reform Thesis
Gui Haichao is a young professor and doctoral supervisor of Beihang University, and has supervised a total of 10 master's and doctoral students since he taught at Beihang University, and by the time he went to space, 3 of them had successfully graduated, and he also had 3 doctoral and 4 master's students.
