At present, 22 issues of "Xinhua Recommended Books" have been released, recommending 226 kinds of excellent books to the public, and developing vertical situational reading lists such as "Youth Reading List" and "Landscape Reading List", which cover major domestic publishing institutions. Each issue of recommended books is released through the Xinhua News Agency media matrix and is reprinted in large quantities, effectively expanding the coverage of high-quality books in the mainstream media, and becoming a well-known book recommendation brand and an important carrier of Xinhua News Agency's national strategy of serving the whole people.
In April 2024, combined with the results of online voting, the review experts repeatedly reviewed 50 recommended books of the 2023 "Xinhua Recommended Books", and finally selected the top ten best books. On the occasion of the 3rd National Reading Conference and the 29th World Book Day, the "Top Ten Books of 2023 Recommended Books by Xinhua Books" was released!
