A few days ago, Nintendo released the latest Switch firmware update version 18.0.1, which is the second firmware update in 2024.
The update has been very useful for some players, and this latest update fixes some wireless access point issues and comes with the usual system stability improvements to enhance the overall experience.
If someone is having trouble finding an internet access point, this issue should now be resolved after the upgrade. This is not a widespread problem as it only affects certain access points. In addition, the update also includes system stability improvements.

Fixed an issue where some access points could not be found when setting up a new wireless network.
If you are unable to update to version 18.0.1 due to this issue, please temporarily change the security settings of your wireless network to use only "WPA2 (AES)" so that you can download and install system updates over your wireless connection.
After updating to version 18.0.1, restore the security settings of your network to the previous settings.
Includes general system stability improvements to enhance the user experience.
In most cases, Nintendo Switch will automatically download the latest system updates when connected online. If you don't want to update, you can set it up manually.
As for Atmosphere's compatibility issues, SciresM says that the current Atmosphere 1.7.0 pre-release should work well with the new firmware update.
