The Indonesian Election Commission officially announced Prabowo Subiyando as the eighth president of Indonesia on the 24th.
Indonesia's election commission, chairman of Indonesia's Election Commission, Hashim Assiari, announced that Prabowo and his running mate Jibran Rakabumin Raqqa were elected president and vice president of Indonesia for a five-year term with about 96 million votes, or nearly 59 percent of the vote.
