At the event, there were also many cultural scholars and social celebrities who have formed a deep friendship with reading. Shen Xiaoling, chairman of the Qiantang District Writers Association, came to the scene with the new book "2500 Years of the Canal" published in 2024, and shared with everyone her creative journey of writing books and biography for the Grand Canal and dedicating herself to the protection of world heritage over the years. Shen Qiuwei, the lyricist of "Qiantang Tide", emotionally recounted the unexpected encounter with the poetry of the ancients on the bank of the Qiantang River, and used the sentence "Qiantang Tide is rolling" as the first sentence of the chorus, implying that the Qianjiang tide runs through the past, today and future. Sun Zijian, a "good man of Hangzhou" and a lawyer in Qiantang District, shared the history books he loves to read, and said, "In the history of the Ming Dynasty, I like Yu Qian and Qi Jiguang the most, their courage to turn the tide and their determination to protect the country and the people can be called the backbone of the nation."

At the event, 10 "scholarly village communities" such as Xinsha Community and Meida Community selected by Qiantang District in 2023 were announced.
