The official announcement of V Society today announced that the Steam refund policy has been updated. This policy change mainly affects games that are available during the pre-order period, and the duration of the early trial will be counted towards Steam's 2-hour unconditional refund period.

The original text of the updated refund policy is as follows:

Normally, if you purchased the game on Steam before the release date, the two-hour playtime refund limit will apply, but the 14-day refund limit does not start until the release date. For example, if you purchase a game that is in Early Access or Early Access, any playtime will count towards the two-hour refund limit. If you pre-ordered a game that was not playable prior to the release date, you can request a refund at any time prior to the release of the game, and the standard 14-day/two-hour refund limit will apply from the date of the game's release.
