The rules of table tennis for the Paris Olympics have been released
【Men's and Women's Singles】
1. On July 16, 2024, the ITTF Table Tennis Men's and Women's Singles World Rankings will be used for seeding.
2. The top 32 seeded players will advance directly to the round of 64, and the remaining draw will depend on the number of participants in the event:
If the number of players is 64 or less, the remaining players (starting with the No. 33 seed) will be drawn into any remaining spots in the draw, but seeded byes will be allocated first.
If the event has more than 64 entrants, the remaining draws will be made as follows:
The next 16 players (seeded between 33 and 48) will be drawn directly into any remaining spots in the draw.
Seeds 49 to 64 will play in the preliminaries (16 matches) as the first player in each preliminaries. The remaining players will be drawn into the preliminary round and become the opponents in each preliminary match. Any player who has no opponents, as well as the winner of the preliminary round, will advance to the round of 64.
3. Players in the same association avoid half of the area.
4. All matches will be played in a best-of-seven format.
【Mixed Doubles】
1. On July 16, 2024, the ITTF Table Tennis Mixed Doubles World Ranking will be used for seeding.
2. All matches will be played in a best-of-seven format.
【Men's and Women's Groups】
1. Each team competition consists of 5 individual competitions:
BC vs YZ doubles
A vs X singles
C vs Z singles
A vs Y 单打
B vs X Singles
2. Each game adopts a best-of-five system.
3. The July 2024 ITTF Team Rankings released on July 16, 2024 will be used for seeding.

If the NOC has a "P" certified athlete, a request for a change of athlete can be made at least 2 hours before the next team competition. Officially entering the Paris Olympic year, several key events in 2024 will play a very big role in determining the world ranking and Olympic qualification.
According to the "Chinese Table Tennis Project 2024 Paris Olympic Games Selection Measures", the Chinese Table Tennis Association will determine the candidates according to the mixed doubles world ranking on May 7, 2024, and the highest-ranked pair of players: Wang Chuqin/Sun Yingsha 6780 points, ranked 1st in the world, ranked 1st in the selection, qualified to represent China in the mixed doubles competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics and selected for the men's and women's team of the Chinese team.
Men's singles: Wang Chuqin 7125 points, Pu Ming 5228 points, Ma Long 4685 points, Liang Jingkun 4280 points, 3485 points.
