I was born in 1979 in a remote mountain village in Yibin Junlian, Sichuan Province, and lived in that mountain nest surrounded by mountains on three sides for twenty-six years, and those twenty-six years were unforgettable and hard days in my life! Looking back on it now, I still have palpitations!
<h1 class= "pgc-h-arrow-right" > no rice to eat, only cornmeal! </h1>
One afternoon my second grandfather (my grandfather's cousin) came to our house to borrow a plough, and as soon as he entered the house, it began to rain heavily, and it rained for several hours until it was almost dark. The second grandfather sat in our house for a few hours, which was embarrassing!
When the second grandfather entered the house, our family had already steamed rice in wooden barrels, but we never put the barrel up, cooked and told him to eat, but after a while pretended to see if the rice was steamed, and then added a scoop of water to the pot.
It's not that we don't want to ask him to eat, but our steamed rice really doesn't have the face to come out to entertain the guests!
Everyone knows that we southerners like to eat rice, but the rice yield in the mountains of Yibin, Sichuan Province, is low, and at that time, the little rice harvested by our family was also sold, so there was no rice to eat. You can only eat cornmeal, and eating cornmeal is also divided into two grades, one is to grind cornmeal and use a sieve to sift off the corn skin; the other is to eat it together with the skin! Our family even eats with the skin! It was astringent and dry in my mouth and I couldn't swallow it!
So when the second grandfather came to our house that day, we were embarrassed to get that kind of food out and ask him to eat it.

<h1 class = "pgc-h-arrow-right" > the pain of wearing the skin for the first time</h1>
I had been wearing liberation shoes until I was eighteen, and in 1997, I was 18 years old, when I graduated from junior high school, in order to find a job as soon as possible to earn money, and there was no money at home for me to continue my education, so I did not go to high school, and chose to study free secondary teacher training. Because I am not stupid, with hard work, I was admitted to the Second Normal School of Yibin, Sichuan, and it is a unified recruitment. We have a middle division here, the secondary school was only expanded in 98 years, and the middle school in 97 years was also allocated.
To celebrate my throwing off my peasant hat, my parents gave me fifty yuan and asked me to buy a pair of leather shoes to wear to go to the middle school. That day I was walking around our town, and I visited each shoe store several times, hoping to buy a pair of cheap leather shoes, but it was too expensive for me to buy. In the afternoon, I found a stall selling shoes, and he hung up a sign: Clearing, all ten yuan. So I bought a pair of ten dollar shoes from him!
Damn, on the day of the report, I put on my new leather shoes and walked to town, and then took a car to Yibin Fujiang. Our house was three kilometers into town, and I walked a kilometer or so, and the sole of my new leather shoe fell straight off. There was no way, I went barefoot to town and bought a pair of liberation shoes to wear to study teacher training!
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" > there is no quilt at home, and I dare not ask my classmates to sleep</h1>
When I was a teacher training student, there were two or three people in the same grade as me, although the school was tens of kilometers to our house, but at that time the road was extremely poor, and it took several hours to take a car, so it felt like leaving home. So coming from a town is very close!
It seems that when the first grade of teacher training was on winter vacation, a few of them came to my house to play, and after dinner that day, I found mahjong, beckoned them to play mahjong, and never told them to sleep, because our family did not have a quilt, and usually we used rotten clothes to cover our sleep.
In the blink of an eye, ten years have passed, and due to the good national policy, I have also lived a good life of having a house and a car, and having no worries about food and clothing. But we must not forget the hard days of the past! Thinking about the hard days we have lived in the past, we will cherish the happy life we have now!
