Guan Zhenquan, pen name Leshan, born in Qianxi County, Hebei Province in 1945, started working in 1968 and retired in 2005, associate research librarian. He retired as the director and secretary of the Qianxi County Cultural Center, the chairman of the County Artists Association, the vice chairman of the Tangshan Artists Association, the director of the Hebei Peasant Calligraphy and Painting Research Association, and the invited director of the Chinese Peasant Calligraphy and Painting Research Association. At present, he is a director of the Calligraphy and Painting Art Committee of the Central Veteran Cadres Recreation and Culture Guidance Center, a distinguished painter of the China Great Wall Painting and Calligraphy Institute and the Three Gorges Painting Academy, a contracted painter of the Malaysian Oriental Art Institute, a member of the Hebei Association, a consultant of the Tangshan Artists Association, an honorary president of the Qianxi Branch of the China Landscape Painting Association, a national first-class artist, and a national rite painter.
Guan Zhenquan is enthusiastic about the cultural undertakings of the masses, and during his tenure, he has been awarded the titles of county model worker, municipal labor model and provincial advanced cultural worker because of his outstanding performance. In terms of personal art creation, he is close to life and innovates from the past. His landscape paintings have participated in many municipal, provincial and national exhibitions and won awards. More than 100 landscape paintings have been collected by relevant units and people in Japan, France, South Korea, Malaysia, the United States, Brazil, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
It is particularly worth mentioning that since 1986, it has also participated in many overseas exhibitions and foreign calligraphy and painting exchange activities, and won awards such as "Sino-Russian Cultural Exchange Contribution Award" and "Malaysia Big Red Flower Award", making positive contributions to cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
In 1986, 8 Chinese painting works, including "White Birch on the Walls", participated in the "Hebei Province Calligraphy and Painting Representative Exhibition" held in Toyama Prefecture, Japan.
In 1988, the Chinese painting "Mountain Stream" participated in the "International Art Exhibition" held by Hebei Province in Japan.
In 1990, three works, including "The Great Wall", were exhibited at the 21st New Japan Academy of Fine Arts Exhibition.
In 1993, "Heavenly Temporary Passage" participated in the "International Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Expo" held in Beijing.
In 2000, the Qianxi County landscape painting team led by Guan Zhenquan created a TV feature film "Danxin Painting Qianxi", which was broadcast on multiple CCTV channels at home and abroad. Later, the World Chinese Weekly published the works and reviews of the "Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution".
In 2010, he participated in the Chinese calligraphy and painting delegation to Taiwan calligraphy and painting exchange activities.
