On April 24, the all-new Model 3 high-performance all-wheel drive version officially landed on Tesla's official website in China, with a pre-sale price starting at 335,900 yuan, and is expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2024. The new car has been upgraded in the overall styling design and power part, focusing on the performance part, the vehicle has a 0-100km/h acceleration time of 3.1s, a top speed of 261km/h, and a cruising range of 623km under CLTC conditions.
On the outside, the new car comes standard with Starry Sky Grey and is available in Pearl White, Deep Ocean Blue, Pure Black, and Blaze Red. The performance version of the model has been adjusted in detail, the new car adopts a high-performance front lip design, with a new aerodynamic front face, which can effectively reduce the airflow resistance and improve stability, the latter can also cool the front wheels and brake system, and the drag coefficient of the whole vehicle is reduced to 0.22Cd.
The Model 3 Performance Edition features new 19-inch warp wheels with 235/40 front and 265/35 rear tires, and red performance calipers are back to add a nice accent to the all-black design. In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the vehicle are 4724/1848/1430mm, and the wheelbase is 2875mm.
At the rear, a carbon fiber spoiler has been added, a blue and white exclusive racing medal has been added to the lower right corner, and a new diffuser has been installed underneath, extending inward to the chassis of the vehicle.
In terms of interior, the overall design is no different from the regular version, in order to highlight the sporty feeling, the front center console is made of carbon fibre trim, the side door panels are also made of Alcantara, and the familiar front and rear double large screens are not absent from this car.
The new car will also get a two-stage roof canopy, two wireless charging bays for mobile phones, 17 speakers, heated and ventilated front seats, an 8-inch entertainment screen in the rear and seven airbags.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, which is a front induction asynchronous motor and a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a maximum system power of 460 horsepower, a maximum torque of 678 Nm, a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.1 seconds, and a top speed of 261 km/h. In addition, the new model will be equipped with a 78.4 kWh battery pack, with a CLTC range of 623 km and an official energy consumption of 16.7 kWh/100 km.
The vehicle will also feature an adaptive damping suspension system consisting of a front double wishbone/rear multi-link, which is driven by Tesla's self-developed software, which allows users to adjust the suspension hardware and software directly on the vehicle's screen, supporting 2 modes of independent adjustment (automatic and sport).
In terms of driving modes, the new car provides three acceleration modes: Comfort, Standard and Crazy, two driving and handling modes are Standard and Sport, and the steering mode supports Comfort, Standard and Sport. The all-new Model 3 high-performance all-wheel drive version will be equipped with a next-generation track mode, which allows users to customize power distribution, motor torque, and view the live lap and G-value of the vehicle without changing the hardware and mechanical structure.
