Wang Qingzheng, Secretary of the Party Group and Chairman of the CPPCC District, Liu Jianghong, Member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee and Minister of Propaganda, and Zhou Jianxiong, Member of the Party Group and Vice Chairman of the CPPCC District, attended the event.
"Propaganda and study of Zuo Zongtang's ideological culture and patriotic spirit play a major role in forging the sense of community of the Chinese nation, safeguarding the unity and territorial integrity of the motherland, and embodying national integrity. At this sharing meeting, Xu Zhipin, a famous writer and a leading figure in the study of Zuo Zongtang in China, gave a lecture on "The Modern Enlightenment of Zuo Zongtang's National Achievements and Feelings when He Can Be a Major Event", elaborating on the legendary historical facts of the late Qing Dynasty's "Zhongxing Famous Minister", politician and military strategist Zuo Zongtang, in the late Qing Dynasty, which was poor and weak and bullied by foreign powers, resolutely resisted aggression, recovered Xinjiang, resisted France and protected Taiwan, founded the Fuzhou Shipbuilding Bureau, and created a modern navy.
It is understood that the tomb of Zuo Zongtang is located in the Quantang Group of Baizhu Village, Jumping Horse Town, Yuhua District. In January 2024, at the Third Plenary Session of the Sixth CPPCC District Committee, "Strengthening the Protection and Utilization of Zuo Zongtang Cemetery" was delivered as a speech at the conference, and the consultation proposal was approved in writing by the Secretary of the District Party Committee and handled as an annual key proposal.
In recent years, the CPPCC of Yuhua District has taken the construction of the "scholarly CPPCC" as the starting point, combined reading with the performance of duties, implemented activities such as "re-reading club", "member lecture hall" and "committee performance training", and normalized the invitation of well-known experts and scholars to carry out reading and sharing around the party's major political theories, national policies, economic and social hot issues, etc., to promote unity, increase consensus, make good suggestions, and offer practical strategies through reading, continuously improve the quality and level of advice and consensus, and contribute the wisdom and strength of the CPPCC to promote the high-quality development of Yuhua.
