In order to let more people fall in love with reading and improve their interest and ability in reading, on the occasion of the 29th World Book Day, the 2024 Laoshan District 4th "Reading Marathon" Challenge China-Korea Street Branch and the 2nd China-Korea Street Reading Marathon Challenge were held in the Street City Bookstore Lighthouse Bookstore. The atmosphere was warm, and a total of 30 reading lovers participated in this reading feast.
As the competition began, the contestants immediately entered the competition state, immersed themselves in reading "Archaeological China", and enjoyed the fun of reading together. What are the major sites that have influenced Chinese history? What are the new discoveries at the Sanxingdui site...... The book is a general reading book that presents 5,000 years of Chinese civilization from an archaeological perspective, and selects 15 sites representing Chinese civilization such as Yinxu and Sanxingdui. After two and a half hours of reading, the contestants began to answer the questions, and the quiet city bookstore became a silent arena for everyone.
After fierce "brainstorming", in the end, Chen Yang won the first prize, Wang Ying and Zhang Mengdi won the second prize, and Wang Xiaocong, Wang Chunru and Zhang Fan won the third prize. The purpose of this reading marathon is to make the concept of lifelong reading deeply rooted in the hearts of the people and let the strong fragrance of books fill the entire city bookstore.
