The 2024 CCF-Sangfor "Yuanwang" Scientific Research Fund (Phase I) has recently completed its review and is now publicized.
Relying on the CCF platform, CCF-Sangfor "Yuanwang" Scientific Research Fund (hereinafter referred to as "Yuanwang" Fund) is aimed at researchers from universities/research institutes, with cloud security, artificial intelligence, big data, service computing and other enterprise technology needs as the research direction, and funds for one year are funded or semi-open projects, which are funded by Sangfor with funds, platforms, data and technical support, aiming to promote in-depth cooperation between academia and industry in cutting-edge technology exploration and practice, and promote universities/ The research ability and innovation of researchers in scientific research institutes are deeply integrated with the medium and long-term technical planning strategy and product technical ability improvement of enterprises, so as to build a good ecology of innovation and development and win-win cooperation.
Since the official launch of the application in February 2024, the 2024 "Yuanwang" Fund (Phase I) has attracted extensive attention from academia and industry. Nearly 20 application materials were received this time, and the expert group of the "Yuanwang" fund reviewed the research basis, research methods, technical paths, rationality and matching degree of convincing needs of the declared topics, and finally selected 6 topics and won the 2024 "Yuanwang" funding.

Xu Mengwei
Associate Professor, School of Computer Science, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Doctoral Supervisor, Assistant Director of the National Key Laboratory of Network and Switch. He received his bachelor's degree and Ph.D. degree from Peking University, and was selected as a young talent lifting project of the China Association for Science and Technology, a rising star of science and technology in Beijing, a visiting scholar of the "Casting Star Program" of Microsoft Research Asia, and a visiting scholar of Purdue University. In recent years, he has focused on the construction and optimization of machine learning systems in edge scenarios, and his related results have been published in top conference journals at home and abroad, such as ACM MobiCom/MobiSys/ASPLOS/IEEE TMC/Journal of Software, and he has presided over many projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the key R&D projects of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Cao Buqing
Professor, doctoral supervisor and deputy dean of the School of Computer Science, Hunan University of Science and Technology, and a young scholar of the "Hunan Furong Scholars Award Program". He is a standing member of the CCF Service Computing Committee and an executive member of the CCF Collaborative Computing Committee. His main research interests are service computing and edge computing, machine learning and recommendation systems, and intelligent software services. He has presided over and completed 1 general project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 sub-project of the National Key R&D Program, 1 youth project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and more than 10 provincial and ministerial projects. He has published more than 100 papers in important academic journals at home and abroad, such as IEEE TSC, IEEE TNSM, Journal of Computers, Journal of Software, etc., as well as academic conferences such as ICWS and SCC, and has won the Best Paper Award/Best Student Paper Award 7 times at international and domestic academic conferences such as ICSS2022, NCSC2021, and SCC2019. Assisted or organized the hosting of international academic conferences/CCF annual conferences such as SCA2012/GCC2012, CCF NCSC2017/CBPM2017 and ChineseCSCW2021 for 3 times, served as the chairman of the organizing committee, member of the program committee and reviewer of many academic journals for more than 20 international and domestic academic conferences, and won the CCF Membership Development Excellence Award/SSYSF Outstanding Service Award. Tang Yanmei
Associate researcher of Southwest Jiaotong University, member of CCF, vice chairman of the Higher Education Professional Committee of Sichuan Educational Equipment Industry Association, member of the Graded Protection Professional Committee of Chengdu Information Network Security Association. The first author has published 5 monographs and more than 10 articles such as "Memo of Networms" and "Computer for the Elderly". He has presided over 1 project of Sichuan Provincial Department of Science and Technology, 2 projects of industry-university cooperation and collaborative education of the Ministry of Education, and participated in 6 projects of Provincial Department of Science and Technology and Department of Education. It won the second prize in the Sichuan Regional Competition of the 5th "Blooming Cup" 5G Application Collection Competition, the Excellence Award in the MEC Edge Computing Special Competition, the Excellence Award in the 5G Evolution Technology Special Competition of the 6th "Blooming Cup" 5G Application Collection Competition, and the excellent case of the Educational Technology Subcommittee of the National Information Technology Standardization Technical Committee for "Network Security Linkage to Build the Future of Digital Education". Zhang Tao
Deputy Director of Information Technology Center of Hubei University of Technology, Senior Engineer, his main research direction is big data, data governance and network security. He has presided over and implemented the third and fourth phases of the campus network transformation work, and presided over the first phase of the construction of the smart campus, "Hubei University of Technology F5G Smart Campus Construction Case", which was awarded the excellent application case of the "Digital Campus Construction Specification for Colleges and Universities" by the Educational Information Technology Standards Committee of the Ministry of Education. During his work, he published a number of core papers, and presided over and participated in many scientific research projects such as the Hubei Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Education.

He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1989 and is currently the dean of the Industrial Internet College of Suzhou Vocational and Technical College of Economics and Business, an expert of the Industrial Internet Standardization Committee of Jiangsu Province, a member of the CCF Service Computing Committee, and the executive chairman of the Suzhou Institute of Electronics. He presided over the construction of the virtual simulation training base for industrial Internet + intelligent equipment manufacturing in Jiangsu Province, presided over the construction of the training platform for the integration of production and education of the Industrial Internet College, attached great importance to the construction of the teaching platform, actively carried out teaching reform and innovation, and paid attention to the application of new technologies and new means in teaching, so as to improve teaching efficiency and reduce the investment in teaching equipment.
