On the afternoon of April 20, 2024, the general election meeting of the third committee of the Cardiac Intensive Care Committee of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association was successfully held in the meeting hall of Zhengzhou Bauhinia Mountain Hotel. Professor Zeng Yong, Executive Director of the Coronary Heart Disease Center of Beijing Anzhen Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, was honorably elected as the chairman of the third committee, and the conference voted to elect 2 honorary chairmen, 14 vice chairmen, 52 standing members, and 86 members, of which 6 are from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.

Professor Zeng Yong pointed out that the total number of nominees for the third special committee reached 155, the composition was more optimized, and the proportion of senior professional titles increased by 12% compared with the second session. At the same time, the number of new members holding management positions in hospitals, medical schools and associations still accounts for more than 80%, which provides a solid talent guarantee for the future development of the special committee.
