It is understood that tulips are perennial herbaceous plants, and Hongshan Park has successfully introduced and bred tulips since 2008. Since then, around the May Day every year, all varieties of tulips in the garden will bloom one after another.
"In previous years, these tulips were in initial bloom at this time, but this year, more than 60,000 tulips of eight varieties in the park have entered the full flowering period, a week earlier than in previous years. Ma Xin, head of the Propaganda Department of Hongshan Park Tour Guide, said that the tulips in the park have fully adapted to the climate of Xinjiang, and the entire flowering period has been extended to about 20 days in recent years compared with about half a month in the past.
