A few days ago, the U.S. House of Representatives finally passed a new round of U.S. military aid to Ukraine bill that Zelensky had in mind, with a total value of up to $60.8 billion.
As early as the end of March, Zelensky called Speaker of the US House of Representatives Johnson, both pleading and threatening, saying that if the House of Representatives does not pass a new round of military aid to Ukraine as soon as possible, Ukrainian front-line troops will have to retreat slightly. The implication is that if you, the United States, don't give money and equipment, I, Ukraine, will have to pick on it. At the same time, Zelensky softened his tone and said that he could negotiate peace with Russia.
Now, with the passage of the new aid bill by the U.S. House of Representatives, Zelensky is also "resurrected", not only claiming to fight to the end, but also saying that Ukraine will not lose to Russia, and Ukraine will not become a second Afghanistan. This means that Ukraine will not be abandoned by its allies, after all, the Afghan government was abandoned by the United States at that time and was quickly defeated by the Taliban forces.
And the reason why the United States and the West will not abandon Ukraine, according to Zelensky's words, is that the Ukrainian people send their children to the battlefield, and they are creating value for NATO, because if Ukraine is defeated, NATO will be attacked. At the same time, Zelensky also said that the US Congress passed the military aid bill for Ukraine, and the price paid by the United States is only weapons and equipment, and the Ukrainians will pay for it, which is very cost-effective for the United States.
This statement has actually shown Zelensky's attitude towards the Russian-Ukrainian war to the fullest, that is, Ukraine is willing to become a proxy of the United States and NATO, and use the lives of Ukrainians to fight for the interests of the United States and NATO.
However, the truth is that Ukraine has already paid too brutal for this war. After the outbreak of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Ukraine has lost a large number of people, especially young and middle-aged men, in order to escape the war and the forced conscription of the Ukrainian army, Ukraine has lost nearly half of its population. Ten years ago, Ukraine's total population was about 45 million, and after two years of the Russia-Ukraine war, Ukraine's total population is only 25 million.

Under such circumstances, can the latest round of US aid to Ukraine save Ukraine from a desperate situation? In my opinion, Zelensky's attempt to reverse the outcome can only be described as wishful thinking.
Let's start with the aid to Ukraine passed by the US House of Representatives, although it is 60.8 billion US dollars, but the actual money in the hands of Ukraine is not much, most of it will go around in the United States, and finally fall into the pockets of American arms dealers, and the arms dealers will then share the cake with the old men on Capitol Hill. In this regard, Zelensky has made it clear before that most of the US aid has basically been digested in the United States.

With such a large price difference, I am afraid that Ukraine itself will not be able to figure out how much the price of weapons and equipment that will be supported to Ukraine in the end.
Of course, it is more likely that the American arms dealers and the old men on Capitol Hill cover each other and send a bunch of obsolete and worthless weapons to Ukraine, and the politicians benefit, the arms dealers benefit, and then let Ukraine pay. So when the assistance of weapons and equipment cannot be fully in place and the technology is not advanced, how can the Ukrainian soldiers, who are already at a disadvantage, use these weapons to counterattack the Russian army?
In addition, from the point of view of full military mobilization, it can be said that Ukraine no longer has much war potential. On the one hand, the loss of personnel is too great, and the source of reserve troops is already facing exhaustion. Ukraine continues to recruit soldiers, and the quality of the soldiers can only get worse and worse. Now there has been a situation where five Ukrainian soldiers turned around and ran away in the face of two Russian troops, in other words, the Ukrainian army is not high in combat effectiveness now.
Russia on the other side, the population before the war was three times that of Ukraine, and now it may be 6 times that of Ukraine, continue to fight, Russia does not even need war mobilization, just rely on natural conscription, Ukraine will not be able to afford it first and be dragged down.
On the other hand, almost all the weapons and equipment in the hands of the Ukrainian army, and even ammunition, come from military assistance from the United States and NATO. In other words, Ukraine itself now lacks the ability to make its own blood, and it would be better to say if this war could end in the short term, but the end would be nothing more than the country's debt, selling state-owned assets cheaply, and solving part of the problem. But if the war is prolonged, not only will Ukraine be drained, but the country will also lose its future.
In addition, in my opinion, this round of aid is very likely to be the last round of large-scale military aid to Ukraine from the United States, because after more than 2 years of war, Wall Street has sucked a lot of blood in Europe, and it is easy to have problems if it is sucked again. At the same time, American arms dealers are also full. As early as last year, the Zelensky government had packaged all state-owned assets and handed them over to American companies, and Ukraine no longer had too many good assets to sell. Moreover, the United States will face a general election next, and when the public opinion in the United States is no longer waiting to continue to vigorously aid Ukraine, neither the Democratic Party nor the Republican Party will challenge the public opinion at this juncture.
Finally, for Ukraine now, this round of US military aid of $60.8 billion is equivalent to increasing the amount of adrenaline for Ukraine, delaying the time of Ukraine's defeat, and it is best to give the United States and NATO countries time to take themselves out.
In the final analysis, this Russian-Ukrainian war is a proxy war provoked by the United States, the United States not only did not spend, but even earned a lot, and at the same time achieved the goal of weakening Russia and harvesting its ally the European Union, and Ukraine is just a chess piece that can be given up when it is used up, and no one cares what its future outcome will be.
