But I am very glad that I have gained a lot in the past five years of writing the official account.

Second, I have a certain understanding and experience of the writing, followers, monetization, and tools of the official account.
Third, writing the official account has made me money, whether it is the tips from friends, the traffic of the platform, the advertisements received, and the realization of the community, in short, I still have some income after work, which is really good.

Stick with it for a while
There was no insistence
In fact, before writing the article, I personally tried to shoot a few videos.
In the summer of 2017, I made more than a dozen short videos on Toutiao, and then stopped.
In 2020, I began to share some knowledge about operations on Douyin and Channels.
Of course, I worked hard to shoot 30 episodes, and some videos have more than 300,000 views, but I didn't insist on it.
There are many reasons for this:
First, because of busy work, there are other commercial accounts and live broadcasts to follow up.
However, it takes a long time for the content shooting of personal accounts to realize the output before it returns.
The second is that I have not been able to find a good account positioning.
Third, he is lazy and does not have the same sense of responsibility as writing.
Just imagine, if you stick to it from 2017 to the present, maybe it will be very different.

And you can make money!
So whether it's too late to make a short video now is a question for many people.
Some people feel too late, some people feel too late after listening to other celebrities sharing, and some people feel too late when they see others fail.
On the contrary, I feel that there is still an opportunity to make money.
1. I started to do it after the official account became popular for seven years, and at that time, many big accounts and institutions stopped changing, and I, as a novice, can still get results in it.
Including some of my friends, they only started to do official accounts in 2021 or even 2022, and they also have fans and monetization, so I believe that it is okay to shoot short videos.
2. I saw a lot of income from the three rural bloggers and amateur Vlog bloggers who posted real records, which really stimulated me, because as long as you insist on shooting, there will always be pocket money.
3. Depending on how much money you want to make, the village chief is not from the perspective of career, I am from the perspective of earning pocket money part-time.
4. I recently tried to post some content on Toutiao, and some money, which is intermittent to stimulate me.
My goal is to earn 20,000 or 30,000 yuan a year on short videos, I think this goal is completely feasible, and I can get more than 100,000 yuan in five years, and many people have not saved more than 100,000 yuan in five years of work.

A five-year opportunity at a time
If I say today, I don't do anything, shoot short videos full-time and start a business.
The village chief's idea was stupid and doomed to lose.
On the one hand, it is true that the competition is fierce after the bonus period, and on the other hand, the cost of trial and error is too low, and I don't know when it will be fully recovered, especially now that IP in many fields has been suppressed.
My idea is very simple, to shoot a short video like writing an official account.
Take a little time out every week to update three or five articles, and slowly find your feelings.
Others don't shoot for two months or half a year, but I can stick to shooting for a year or three years, and then see if I can continue to shoot according to my actual situation.
So, I gave myself enough trial and error time and at the same time I set myself low enough goals.
So I hope that there is a chance, and one day you can also brush up on my videos on Toutiao and Douyin.

Don't be afraid of being ridiculed
Many people want to shoot short videos, but they are afraid of being ridiculed by others.
The matter of having a good face is really killing people.
1. Whether it's setting up a stall, handing out flyers, shooting videos, or writing articles, don't be afraid of being ridiculed by others.
Others laugh at you because you didn't succeed, not at you for choosing the wrong path.
2. If others laugh at you, will it really affect your money?
When you don't shoot short videos, you don't see any help from others, so there's no difference in nature.
3. Don't be afraid that you don't shoot well, just like the village chief writes articles, maybe 80% of the readers write better than me, but I still have 20% of readers who will read my sharing.
So, always remember who you're sharing it with and who your audience is!

Why shoot short videos
If you want to shoot a short video, you must understand, why do you want to shoot it?
Many people will definitely say: Isn't it just to make money!
This sentence, in fact, is only half true.
1. If you are a merchant with a source of goods, whether you are opening a factory, opening a store or engaging in breeding and planting in rural areas.
The purpose of your TikTok is to get customers, which is the primary purpose.
2. For those mothers and ordinary office workers, there are no products, skills, etc., and there is nothing to realize.
Then your purpose in filming Douyin is to monetize by traffic, and your purpose is not to sell goods, or to shoot more videos, and exchange traffic for advertising subsidies for Douyin and Toutiao.
Everyone needs to know what their purpose is, to monetize traffic, to plan video scripts to have highlights, to engage in video sales, investment to highlight the strength of manufacturers, product quality, etc., the focus is different.

If you still want to do it, I hope you have more patience, because the village chief still believes that short videos are the most effective way to acquire customers and monetize sales.
