2024 Theme Reading Season
World Book Day
April 23 is the 29th World Book Day. In order to advocate the majority of youth league members to read more, read good books, and be good at reading, and guide young people to carry out reading practice activities, the theme reading season activity of "Standing Up for Chinese-style Modernization - Youth and Good Reading" sponsored by the Nanping Youth League Municipal Committee and undertaken by the Jianyang Youth League District Committee was held in the Huahai Public Welfare Book Bar in Jianyang District. Representatives of youth league members and young pioneers of the city and district gathered together to read, exchange and share.
At the beginning of the event, the Young Pioneers from Jianyang District Experimental Primary School gave a keynote speech on "Inheriting the Classics and Promoting the Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture", and said that they would strive to be the disseminators of the excellent traditional Chinese culture and let the Zhuzi culture be passed on from generation to generation.
Subsequently, young people from various fields shared and exchanged their experiences in reading relevant books in combination with Zhu Xi's concept of filial piety, integrity culture, college culture and other topics. Everyone understands each other, learns from each other's strengths, shares resources, and forms a good learning atmosphere.
Meet friends with books and recommend good books to each other. Through the exchange of reading insights, everyone entered the world of books and fully enjoyed the joy of reading. At the end of the event, Wang Ting, deputy secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of the Nanping Youth League, donated books to the Huahai Book Bar.
Books are spiritual friends. Reading makes people wise, and developing the habit of reading and enjoying the pleasure of reading is an inexhaustible source of growth and progress. In the next step, youth league organizations at all levels will continue to carry out reading activities in various forms and rich contents, guide the majority of youth league members to deeply study and understand the party's innovative theories, love reading, read good books, and be good at reading, and combine "reading thousands of books" with "traveling thousands of miles", so that youth league members can draw wisdom and strength from them, and strive to apply what they have learned and integrate knowledge with action.
