Professor Tan Jihe is a distinguished researcher of the Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, a senior librarian of the Sichuan Provincial Government Research Institute of Culture and History, the president of the Sichuan Provincial Historical Society, the chief expert of the key discipline of the Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences, and the director of the Academic Committee of the Sichuan Academy of History. In 1965, Tan Jihe received an associate doctorate degree in pre-Qin history from the Department of History of Sichuan University, and later went to Beijing to work in the compilation team of Fan Wenlan's "General History of China" at the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 1976, he returned to Chengdu and has been engaged in the theoretical and applied research of Bashu culture for a long time.
