On April 23, AITO's new M5 series of cars was officially released, and the new M5 launched a total of 3 models, namely the extended range Max rear-drive high-end intelligent driving version, priced at 249,800 yuan, the pure electric Max rear-drive high-end intelligent driving version, priced at 269,800 yuan, and the extended range Max RS four-wheel drive high-end intelligent driving version, priced at 279,800 yuan.
In terms of exterior design, the new M5 has not changed much from the previous generation, the whole system adopts a closed air intake grille, the car logo adopts a blackened design, the lower surround, fender camera, and window chrome trim are all changed to a blackened design, with black double five-spoke wheels and red brake calipers, which are full of sporty atmosphere. The body is available in Tahitian Grey and Cosmopolitan Red, as well as Gilt Black, Ceramic White, and Azure Blue, a total of five colourways, and the RS version has also been launched this time, with obsidian badges and sports wheels.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new M5 positioning mid-size SUV are 4770*1930*1625, and the wheelbase is 2880mm. It adopts a 100% all-aluminum alloy chassis, aluminum alloy front and rear subframes, front and rear swing arm assemblies, etc.
The interior is also unchanged from the previous ones, with three colourways: Feather Red, Amber Brown, and Shaohua Apricot, and the new car is equipped with a Nappa leather steering wheel and Shuyun headrests. The total thickness of the cushion is 100mm, which improves the softness and support, and the roof adopts an aviation-grade micron double-layer silver-plated glass panoramic canopy, with an ultraviolet blocking rate of more than 99.9%.
It is worth noting that all models of the new M5 are equipped with lidar and full-dimensional perception as standard, and all systems are equipped with Huawei's ADS 2.0 high-end intelligent driving system, which includes 1 lidar, 3 millimeter-wave radars, 11 camera groups and 12 ultrasonic radars, with a data processing capacity of 1GB/s.
In terms of range and power, the new M5 extended range version of the CLTC pure electric range has a range of 255km, a comprehensive range of 1440km, equipped with a 1.5T four-cylinder range extender, with a maximum power of 152 horsepower, and the maximum power output of the electric motor of the rear-wheel drive version and two-wheel drive version is 200kW (272 horsepower)/360N·m for two-wheel drive and 365kW (496 horsepower)/675N·m for four-wheel drive respectively. The EV version is equipped with an 83 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery and has a CLTC battery range of 602 km.
