In the future, the Federation will uphold the goal of "passing on the value of reading and building a scholarly Nansha", and carry out in-depth cooperation in the aspects of venue linkage, resource linkage, event linkage, publicity linkage, brand co-creation and other aspects by aggregating the forces of all parties, guiding social forces to join in reading promotion, and providing readers with reading promotion services and high-quality activity resources.
At present, 59 units and individual members of the Federation have joined, covering public libraries, schools, non-governmental reading organizations, propaganda media, publishing, printing, distribution, online reading and other industries, as well as experts, scholars and reading promoters engaged in reading research and practice.
At the event, Huang Xingli, president of the federation, released the federation's 2024 reading plan, and said that the federation will take the Nansha District Library as the main position this year, and regularly jointly hold a series of reading promotion activities in various forms and different themes, combining reading activities with cultural exchanges between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, Nansha cultural communication, rural revitalization, etc., promoting reading into scenic spots, schools, enterprises, etc., bringing together innovative and creative elements, and creating a national reading brand from multiple angles and fields.

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Nansha) "Scholarly Talent" public welfare project is jointly created by Nansha District Library and Nansha District Talent Development Bureau, and the activities are divided into five series: "Understanding Nansha" lectures, "Yiqi Joy Reading" reading sharing, "One Recommendation and Heart" book recommendation activities, "Zhihui Nantu" high-end tea party, and "Starting from the Heart" mental health sharing meeting, and more than 20 reading activities are expected to be carried out throughout the year.
The project will combine the actual work of talent services in Nansha District, make full use of library reading service resources, and provide library characteristic resource services for Nansha talents. At the same time, a special shelf of talent policy publicity materials will be set up in the library to facilitate the general public to keep abreast of the latest talent policies and related activities in Nansha.

"She Reads"
"She Read" is a public welfare brand jointly created by Nansha District Library and Nansha District Women's Federation. The project focuses on the service needs of women, children and families in the region, with five major themes as health preservation, family science popularization, employment and entrepreneurship, family education, and rights and interests protection. At the event, the "She Reads" family education theme month was launched, and more than 20 reading activities in the form of lectures, salons, and experiences will be carried out in May.
At the same time, the project will also take a total of 51 public libraries in Nansha District Library, town and street branches, and social force branches (service points) as activity positions, and use the existing public cultural service system to serve women and children in the district, and provide a communication platform for more female groups.

At the event, the Nansha District Library used the form of video to report the overall reading situation of Nansha in 2023 to the public from five aspects: overall data, borrowing, readers, methods and readers' feedback.
The event also recognized five "reading masters", who read an average of more than 500 books each in the past year, with the most read reading students reading a total of 549 books.
In 2023, the cumulative number of literature borrowed by Nansha District Library will reach 2.945 million times, once again ranking first among the city-level public libraries, with an average of 2.51 times borrowed per book collection, an average of 3.17 books borrowed by each Nansha citizen, and a total of 153,000 registered readers throughout the year, with an average of 1 Nansha District Library reader for every 6 Nansha citizens.
According to the report, the "Three-Body Problem" trilogy has all entered the top 10 adult book borrowing in Nansha Library in 2023, and the use of digital resources for online reading has also become a trend among readers in Nansha District Library in 2023.
In addition, the Bay Area Library officially released a list of nearly 150 books jointly recommended by 13 public libraries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, including Guangdong Provincial Zhongshan Library, Hong Kong Central Library, Macao Public Library, Guangzhou Library, Shenzhen Library, Zhuhai Library, Foshan Library, Huizhou Library, Dongguan Library, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Library, Jiangmen Library, Zhaoqing Library and Bay Area Library. The book focuses on the theme of the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, covering history, humanities, economy, science and technology, education and other genres.
It is understood that in February this year, the Bay Area Library was officially established in the Nansha District Library. As the main offline service front of libraries in the Greater Bay Area, Nansha District Library launched the "Scholarly Bay Area, Read the Future Together" book recommendation activity for public libraries in the Greater Bay Area in early April to jointly promote the cultural development of the Bay Area.

It is understood that the branch library is jointly built by the Nansha District Library, the Longxue Street Office of the Nansha District People's Government, and CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., with an area of 200 square meters and a current collection of more than 2,400 books, covering philosophy, adult literature, social sciences, natural sciences and other types.
The library is equipped with a self-service borrowing machine, which can complete intelligent inquiry, apply for reader cards, self-service borrowing and returning and other services. The library is open to the surrounding citizens free of charge, and all books have been borrowed and returned to and from member libraries in the Guangzhou Public Library service system.
Longxue Street in Nansha District is home to nearly 3,000 ethnic minorities who have come to work in Guangzhou. Therefore, the museum has a special shelf with the theme of ethnic unity, and nearly 100 books related to the folk customs of ethnic minorities are placed for the public to borrow.
At the same time, the branch library is exhibiting the "Feng Peng Zhengju - Longxue Island Wetland Ecological Calligraphy, Painting and Photography Exhibition", a total of 20 art works, 16 calligraphy works, and 30 photographic works, showing the ever-changing development achievements of Longxue Street, the long and heavy history and culture, and the unique and beautiful natural scenery with literary and artistic works.
