With an average altitude of 1,331 meters and an average annual temperature of 22.7 °C, Ganhe Village is particularly suitable for the natural growth of fern moss, which grows in the mountains of the village, allowing villagers to continue picking for about 2 months. At present, it is the peak season for the growth and harvesting of fern moss, and the general party branch of Ganhe Village actively organizes the people of the whole village to beat fern moss to increase income, so that the humble mountain grass and wild vegetables have become people's favorite food.
"We don't need to grow or raise fern moss here, it's everywhere in the mountains. The market purchase price of fresh fern moss is 1 yuan a catty, and our villagers here can pick more than 100 catties or even 200 catties every day, and they can earn more than 100 yuan per day during the picking period. Ye Xianli, a villager in Mochu Bay, said happily.
In order to increase the income of the people in Ganhe Village, Yang Yuping, a local leader in getting rich, purchased fern moss at a designated point in the village and carried out initial processing, and then exported it to various places. To this end, he recruited villagers to work nearby, providing jobs in receiving, sorting, processing, drying and other links, and there were more than 16 households and nearly 20 workers per day.
"It's very difficult for people with disabilities like me to go out to work, but thanks to Murakami's active recommendation of employment channels, it is really good to be able to earn money at my doorstep. For this work within his ability, villager Luo Xuanjiu is very satisfied.
It is understood that the annual output of fern moss in Ganhe Village is 460 tons, and the output value can reach 920,000 yuan, which has become another income channel for the people of Ganhe Village to expand while developing the bamboo industry of "one county and one industry".
