A few days ago, the official website of the People's Government of Tianning District, Changzhou City, released two registration announcements for housing expropriation and assessment agencies on state-owned land, namely the Northwest Area Renovation and Upgrading Project of Changzhou First People's Hospital and Jinxiu Station of Changzhou Metro Line 5.

The renovation and upgrading project of the northwest area of the first hospital
The project is bounded by the Central Blood Station of the First People's Hospital in the east (inclusive), Building 17 of the First People's Hospital in the south, Jinling Middle Road in the west, and Juqian Street in the north. The project involves the expropriation of 35 non-residential houses, with a construction area of about 28,697 square meters.

Due to its location in the core area of the city, the first hospital of the city has long faced problems such as traffic congestion, parking difficulties, and driving difficulties during medical treatment hours. At the beginning of this year, the Healthy Changzhou Video Account clearly mentioned that it is expected that the first hospital of the city will start partial demolition and reconstruction this year.
According to the plan, the project will mainly demolish the northwest area to build outpatient buildings, emergency buildings, canteens and underground parking lots, improve the treatment capacity of tertiary general hospitals for acute and critical cases, and alleviate the parking pressure of hospitals.

Among them, the first blood donation house in Changzhou, located at No. 205 Juqian Street, was closed on January 31. At the same time, the Blood Donation House on the Square of the Palace of Culture was officially launched, providing services with more advanced equipment and a more beautiful environment.
In March this year, analysts visited the area on the spot, and the shops within the proposed expropriation area are basically still operating normally. Subsequently, when the collection assessment is completed, the project will also usher in substantial progress.

In addition to the reconstruction and expansion project, there are also some plots in the northeast area of the first courtyard that have been fenced for construction. This is the construction project of a standardized fever clinic building that will be launched in December 2023 and is reported to be put into use in July 2025.
According to the plan, the project covers an area of 760 square meters, with a planned construction area of 8,800 square meters. Among them, the four-storey fever clinic building is built on the ground, with two floors underground, medical auxiliary rooms, equipment rooms and parking spaces, and 92 parking spaces for motor vehicles.

In the future, the completion of these two major projects will further enhance the public health service capacity of the downtown area and benefit the surrounding residents.
Jinxiu Station of Changzhou Metro Line 5
Jinxiu Station of Changzhou Metro Line 5 is east to Tanyuan Road, south to Changzhou Commercial Machinery Factory Co., Ltd., west to Jianjian North Road, and north to Feilong East Road. The project involves the expropriation of 1 non-residential household with a construction area of about 3,000 square meters.

With a total length of 30.9km, Changzhou Metro Line 5 is the backbone line of Changzhou's urban rail transit network, with a southwest-northeast trend, connecting Wujin District, Zhonglou District and Tianning District.
There are a total of 25 stations on the line, and the Jinxiu Road station that opened the collection assessment is a station within Tianning District. After the completion of the expropriation, the orderly construction of the site will also be further promoted.
According to the overall plan of the Line 5 project, it is planned that the main project of the whole line will start in 2024 and open for initial operation by the end of 2028.
From the perspective of progress, Lanyuewan Station, West Taihu Station, Hexiang Road Station and other stations, which are currently the pilot sections, have entered the early stage of supporting project construction.
