The 25th edition of the world's most prestigious global awards brought together the world's best athletes in Madrid, Spain, with Novak Djokovic winning the Laureus Men's Athlete of the Year award for the fifth time, Spanish football celebrating the victory of Bommati and the women's national team, and Jude Bellingham winning the top award in the sport.
Novak Djokovic won three of the four Grand Slams in men's singles in 2023. Only lost to eventual champion Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final.
