This year marks the 100th anniversary of Mr. Jin Yong's birth. On April 23, on the occasion of the 29th World Book Day and the 9th Shenzhen Children's Reading Day, in order to pay tribute to and commemorate Mr. Jin Yong, promote the reading of literary classics, and promote cultural exchanges between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, the "Flying Snow Shoots the White Deer in the Sky-Commemorating the Centenary of Mr. Jin Yong's Birth Theme Document Exhibition" of the "Looking at the Bay Area from Literature" series of exhibitions kicked off in the Yinshu Exhibition Hall on the second floor of Shenzhen Library.

The exhibition was sponsored by the Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports, and undertaken by the Shenzhen Library. The exhibition brings together Jin Yong's works and documents from the collection of Shenzhen Library, and specially collects his martial arts novels, serialized newspapers, event-related photographic works and inscriptions, which are divided into four chapters: Zha Liangyong, a chivalrous man in the literary world, Breaking the Sky with a Pen as a Sword, The Dream of Heroes and Soft Intestines, and The Romance of Shenzhen, through nearly 50 exhibition panels, more than 100 pictures, 21,000 words of descriptions and some precious documents, leading the audience to experience the martial arts world created by Mr. Jin Yong's "one stroke, one book, one Jianghu", and to appreciate the feelings of family and country and patriotic spirit of the child.

Looking at Jin Yong's legendary life from the literature

The exhibition is based on the collection of documents from the Shenzhen Library, giving full play to the professional ability of librarians and creatively planning original theme document exhibitions. Taking the collection of documents as a clue, this paper deeply excavates and presents the legendary life of Mr. Jin Yong as a writer, journalist, entrepreneur, political critic and social activist of contemporary martial arts novels, and comprehensively reviews the creative process of Mr. Jin Yong's martial arts novels. The museum exhibited multiple editions of Jin Yong's complete novels, including Hong Kong Minghe Society, Tianjin Baihua Literature and Art Publishing House, Guangzhou Huacheng Publishing House, Beijing Joint Bookstore and other editions, as well as Jin Yong's prose collections, essays, essays and other works, from which citizen readers can feel Jin Yong's deep feelings of "a great man of chivalry, for the country and the people".

Immerse yourself in the world of Jin Yong's martial arts

Over the past few decades, Jin Yong's martial arts novels have provided an inexhaustible source of creativity for film, television, music, and more. The exhibition reviews a series of classic film and television works such as "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", "The Legend of the Sky and the Dragon", "The Eight Dragons", "Smiling Proud Jianghu" and "The Legend of the Deer and Ding".

In the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Guiqiong "Half an Hour of Reading" on the same day, the main venue in Shenzhen also performed excerpts from "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" in the form of reading dramas, revisiting Jin Yong's martial arts classics.

Mr. Jin Yong's deep fate with Shenzhen

As early as 1983, 12 kinds of Hong Kong Minghe version of Jin Yong's martial arts novels were unveiled at the first Shenzhen Book Fair, opening a precedent for the dissemination of Jin Yong's original Hong Kong new martial arts novels in the mainland. In 2004, Jin Yong, as a guest of the Shenzhen Reading Month Forum, delivered a speech on the topic of "The Chinese Nation is Strong in Integration". In 2005, during the 6th Shenzhen Reading Month, Jin Yong and Februaryhe had a summit dialogue in the first "Under the Sky of History" forum. Jin Yong's name has appeared in the list of consultants for Shenzhen Reading Month for many years, and has written a brilliant and colorful stroke in the history of urban reading in Shenzhen. The exhibition brings together local media reports about Mr. Jin Yong in Shenzhen, and vividly tells the story of Jin Yong and Shenzhen.

According to the borrowing data of Shenzhen Library, Jin Yong's works have been borrowed more than 50,000 times in the past 10 years, and the most borrowed works are "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", "Smiling Proud Jianghu", "Dragon Babu", "Heaven and Dragon Slayer", "The Legend of the Condor Heroes", "The Legend of the Deer and Ding", "Blue Blood Sword", "Book of Swords and Enmity" and other works.

The preparation process of this exhibition was strongly supported by the Hong Kong Central Library and Hong Kong Commercial Daily. At the exhibition site, there is a digital special collection display area of "Hong Kong Memory" and "Literary Heroes - Jin Yong and Zha Liangyong", and at the same time, the first newspaper copies of "Blue Blood Sword" and "The Legend of the Condor Heroes" provided by Hong Kong Commercial Daily, and the inscription and inscription copies of Mr. Jin Yong for "Hong Kong Commercial Daily" and other precious documents are displayed.
