On April 22, on the occasion of World Book Day, the second National Reading Season Literature Open Class of the China Writers Association was held in the Jiulong Hall of Jiulongpo District.
As the keynote speaker, the winner of the 11th Mao Dun Literature Award and writer Dongxi, shared his experience in reading and creating with the theme of "Reading Others and Enriching Yourself".

His real name is Tian Dailin, a member of the presidium of the China Writers Association, the chairman of the Guangxi Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the chairman of the Writers Association, a professor of Guangxi University for Nationalities, a national advanced worker, and a "four batches" of talents in the national propaganda system.
His main works include: the novels "Echo", "Slap Loud", "Regret", "Tampered Life" and so on.
The novel "Echo" won the 11th Mao Dun Literature Award, the novella "Life Without Language" won the first Lu Xun Literature Award in China, and the film "Heavenly Lovers" based on the novel won the Best Artistic Contribution Award at the 15th Tokyo International Film Festival. Many works have been adapted into film and television dramas. Some of his works have been translated and published in many languages.
