From exploring and carrying out bamboo forest carbon sink trading to soil and water conservation ecological product value transformation trading, Huzhou has integrated and promoted resource assets such as cultivated land, garden land, forest land, wetland, and villages and market towns that need centralized protection and development to the market after mapping, right confirmation and evaluation, and continues to explore the path of realizing the value of ecological products.
Huzhou City is a national demonstration zone for the development of green mining. The number of mines in Wuxing District has been reduced from 63 at the beginning of the establishment of the area to 6, and the actual average annual mining scale of the mines has increased from 1.782 million tons in 2015 to 2.3817 million tons in 2023.

According to the data, in 2023, the output value of Huzhou's strategic emerging industries and high-tech industries will account for 34.52% and 64.09% of the industries above the designated size, respectively. Huzhou has also formulated a "comprehensive evaluation index system for the construction of ecological civilization model cities" to comprehensively evaluate the work performance of various districts and counties in promoting the construction of ecological civilization model cities.
