April 23 is the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Navy and the first Navy Day after Zhao Yang was discharged. In March 2022, Zhao Yang, who had just entered his freshman year, resolutely chose to take a leave of absence to join the army because of his childhood dream, and became a signal soldier of the Navy's Tongliao ship. In the army, Zhao Yang was the first flag-raiser of the Tongliao ship and witnessed the entry of a new ship. Recalling the Navy Day in the troops, the ships were full of flags, and the comrades-in-arms lined up in divisions and held a solemn flag-raising ceremony, showing the heroic posture of the officers and men and the demeanor of the mainland's "sword on the sea" and celebrating the birthday of the People's Navy. It was another year of Navy Day, and this time, she spent it with 100 student party members of the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering in the "different" national defense education class of Qingdao University of Technology.
On the occasion of the Navy Day, more than 40 student party members from the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering of Qingdao University of Technology, as well as 5 college students and retired soldiers from the school, came to the Qingdao Naval Museum to experience a "different" national defense education class. From the perseverance of the Qing Dynasty, to the heroic sacrifice of the Republic of China and the Anti-Japanese War, to the rise of the modern navy, every item and heroic deeds displayed in the Naval Museum conveys to everyone the original intention and fearlessness of the People's Navy. When visiting the first generation of the 101 Anshan ship with the student party members, Zhao Yang introduced the differences between the first generation of the 101 Anshan ship and the new "model of the times" 101 Nanchang ship, as well as the role of various facilities on the ship. "In the past 75 years, the People's Navy has been born in the baptism of blood and fire, starting from scratch and from weak to strong, and has made indelible contributions to defending national sovereignty, security and development interests, and safeguarding world peace and stability. Today, the degree of modernization of the People's Navy has been continuously improved, historic achievements and changes have taken place in various constructions, and it is now standing tall in the east of the world with a new attitude!" Zhao Yang said.
The Armed Forces Department and the School of Environmental and Municipal Engineering of Qingdao University of Technology invited Professor Zhang Danfeng, secretary of the Party branch of the Qingdao Military Retirement Service Center, to give a "different" national defense education class to more than 100 student party members of the college. Professor Zhang Danfeng, an associate professor in the Department of Aircraft Teaching and Research of the Qingdao Campus of the Naval Aviation University, used aircraft models to enable students to have a deeper understanding of aerodynamics by explaining questions such as "why can airplanes fly?" and "how do airplanes operate?" as a starting point. She told the students that the continental army's commercial aircraft has entered the "20 th era" in an all-round way, and that advanced equipment and technology are the embodiment of the party's strong leadership and the rise of the country, as well as the embodiment of the continuous improvement of the mainland's military strength and comprehensive national strength.
