The most beautiful April day in the world is a good time to read. This year, April 23 marks the 29th World Book Day. In order to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's cultural thought and practice the core values of socialism, Longan County Library has carried out a series of national reading activities through online and offline linkage to promote knowledge dissemination, cultivate a new trend of national reading, and create a "Butterfly City of Books".
On the morning of April 20, in a corner of Jiangbin Park in the county seat, parents and their children from more than 20 families gathered together to participate in the weekend open class and parent-child reading activities organized by the Longan County Library, which is also based on the South China Library Alliance, and jointly Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, Guangxi and Hainan to carry out the "Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Guiqiong" five places to read together, in order to "taste the fragrance of books and enjoy the joy of reading" As the theme of the national reading activities, citizens are invited to open books, taste the fragrance of reading, improve cultural literacy, and create a profound reading atmosphere.
At the event, the staff and cultural volunteers of the Long An County Library recommended new books and good books according to the children's interests and hobbies, and cultivated the children's good habit of loving reading. Some parents also spoke enthusiastically, exchanged reading experiences, and shared the happiness brought by reading, and the atmosphere was very lively.
