Recently, many traffic signs in the streets and alleys of Tianqiaoling Town, Wangqing County have quietly "changed their faces", not only the indication function is stronger, the information is more comprehensive, and it looks much better than the old version of the traffic signs.
In order to further improve the construction of township transportation infrastructure, refine road traffic management, and enhance the civilized image of the jurisdiction, in accordance with the arrangements of the Party Committee and Government of Tianqiaoling Town, starting from the second half of 2023, the Tianqiaoling Police Station of the Wangqing County Public Security Bureau will deeply combine the powerful opportunity of "continuous integration", and use the "100-day household visit" to conduct a comprehensive investigation of the traffic signs in the central urban area and major rural roads. The opinions of experts, scholars and traffic participants have gradually produced a number of new traffic signs that strengthen the guidance and information functions and meet the public opinion, which is refreshing.
Before the new traffic signs were "put on duty", there were 12 traffic signs in the town, and these traffic signs had unreasonable locations, unclear card instructions, chaotic advertisements, and specifications that did not meet national standards. After a full investigation, starting on April 15, the Tianqiaoling Police Station dismantled the original 12 traffic signs, and installed 100 new signs of various types. These traffic signs include a variety of signs such as no stops, speed limits, yields, etc., covering the main roads and junctions in the jurisdiction. During the hanging process, the police of the police station also publicized the surrounding businesses and residents, reminding them to abide by traffic rules and pay attention to traffic safety.
Combined with the previous painting of various types of marking lines in the main sections of the town, more than 7,200 meters, more than 300 parking spaces, 10 zebra crossings, and the current hanging traffic signs, the traffic order in the jurisdiction has been significantly improved. The setting of traffic signs clarifies the road traffic rules, improves the traffic safety awareness of the people in Tianqiaoling, and effectively prevents and reduces the occurrence of traffic accidents. At the same time, the guiding role of traffic signs also makes the passage of vehicles and pedestrians more orderly, and the efficiency of road traffic has been improved.
