On April 22, on the eve of the 29th World Book Day, the "Reading Club" of Beichen No. 1 Kindergarten of Kaifu District Education Bureau of Changsha City participated in the 2024 Teacher Reading Activity of Changsha Education Bureau and the launching ceremony of the 10th Teacher Reading Activity of Kaifu District Education System.
The theme of this exhibition is "Jumping Out of the Education Box". The exhibition area is carefully designed with a miniature reading area, an interactive experience area and a style display area. The miniature reading area is characterized by a warm and comfortable environment, and uses boxes, honeycomb cabinets, sofas and other furniture to create a childlike reading space. It is particularly worth mentioning that each side of the box here is painted with a picture representation of the children after reading the picture book, and the colorful pictures not only record the children's reading process, but also show their rich imagination and creativity. The interactive experience area is a fun and practical area, where the teachers of Beichen First Kindergarten combined the educational concept in the book to explore the project-based curriculum of the garden, and set up practical activities such as making maltose, tea soap, and lipstick in this area, where the children can experience the fun of making with their own hands, and also show the innovation and breakthrough of teachers in educational practice, as well as the results achieved in changing teachers' behavior, jumping out of the traditional education model, and carrying out project-based learning after reading books. The style display area displays the activities of the reading club, parent-child reading activities, teachers' reading notes, etc. in an illustrated way, and every picture and text records the footprints of Beichen Yiyu on the road of reading.
"Reading Club" is a reading group founded by Beichen No. 1 Kindergarten of Kaifu District Education Bureau of Changsha City, with "Reading Yourself" as the core concept. Since its establishment in 2017, the reading club has adhered to the tenet of "using books as a medium to read oneself and grow", emphasizing that reading can understand oneself and the world. Regularly organize various forms of reading salons, theme reading, sharing and exchanges, promoting parent-child reading and other activities, encouraging everyone to think, communicate and share in reading, forming a positive learning atmosphere, promoting the growth of teachers, and promoting the innovation and development of education.
Through this exhibition, Beichen No. 1 Kindergarten of Changsha Kaifu District Education Bureau demonstrated its remarkable achievements in changing teachers' behaviors, jumping out of traditional education models, and carrying out project-based learning after reading books.
