Recently, the 2024 World Book Day reading promotion series of "Rediscovering Libraries and Reading Modern Civilization" jointly organized by Changchun Library, Changchun Children's Library and county (city) district libraries has been fully launched. The event lasted from April 15th to 30th, with a total of 89 reading promotion activities in 6 categories to meet readers, which will accompany readers to spend a bookish spring.
Lecture Salon leads to reading
On April 20th, the "City Hot Reading" in the Changchun Library was holding a special lecture on "World Book Day", and Zhao Yufei, a lecturer at the School of Literature of Jilin University, explained "The Water Margin Heroes in the Image".
Since its establishment more than 20 years ago, the "City Hot Reading" public welfare lecture has always adhered to public welfare, based on the grassroots, selected "hot topics" of the people, paid attention to the "hot discussions" of people's livelihood, and provided readers with channels to obtain knowledge and information, which was welcomed and loved by readers. "'City Hot Reading' public welfare lectures are held nearly 50 times a year, and more than 900 sessions are currently held, with a cumulative audience of more than 270,000 people, creating a series of high-quality lectures including 'Kanto Culture Forum', 'Chinese Medicine Lecture Hall', 'Wenyuan Hundred Talks', 'Law Lecture Hall' and 'Jilin Cultural Tourism Hundred Stories Meeting', we continue to strive to enrich the connotation of 'hot reading', meet the knowledge thirst of different groups, and hope to attract more and more readers to the library. In celebration of "World Book Day", the Youth Department of Changchun Library has specially prepared a variety of reading activities for children and teenagers, including "Little Saplings: Drawing and Reading Parent-Child Story Meeting", "Children's Eyes on the Library", Youth Reading Guidance Series and "Famous Books Are Not Difficult to Read" by Famous Teachers on Campus.
The "Little Sapling: Picture Reading Parent-Child Story Meeting" is organized once a week, and library teachers, kindergarten teachers, picture book story lecturers, and volunteers will tell picture books on the spot. The event has been going on for more than 9 years and is well received by parents and children.
Today, "Changtu Little Sapling" has become a star brand of Changchun Library serving children and teenagers, planning a number of long-term activities including "Aibei Reading Program", "Scholarly Family", "Parent-Child Research Tour" and "Volunteer Little Librarian". Meng Jing, director of the youth department of Changchun Library, said: "Providing high-quality reading services for young readers is the top priority of our library's work, and we often go to all parts of the province to invite more young readers into the library. Digital Reading optimizes services
During the "2024 World Book Day Reading Promotion Series Activities", the new media matrix of Changchun Library launched a series of videos of "Oral History of Changchun Memory" and a series of videos of "Ancient Books Micro Classroom" for the first time, allowing readers to use new media to "view" group books and increase knowledge.
The series of videos of "Oral History of Changchun Memory" collects information carriers such as oral materials and audio-visual materials through interviews with cultural celebrities and event witnesses, and finally forms a memory resource system with regional characteristics. The first batch of interviewees were mainly local writers and performing artists, and the first video was launched "Oral History of Changchun Memories - Director Li Bin".
The "Ancient Books Micro Classroom" series of videos combines the knowledge related to the protection of ancient books with the collection resources, and combines the dissemination of ancient book knowledge, ancient book protection knowledge and the promotion of precious ancient book resources in the library collection through short and interesting introductions, so as to enhance readers' understanding of ancient book culture and promote the inheritance and development of classic book culture. The first issue launched a small video "The Concept of Ancient Books".
