When I was 17 years old, I had just joined the army, and the party's education and training made me strong and stronger!

August 1, 1977 is the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.

In order to commemorate this grand festival, the 48th Division of our Air Force will hold a grand sports event -- the "50 th Anniversary Games of the Founding of the Army" -- on the day of the "1 August" Army Day.

In order to welcome this sports event of special significance, all regiments and station teams have organized training teams to start intensive training.

In July, the weather in Hunan was particularly hot, which was undoubtedly a difficult challenge and test for me, a 1977 recruit who grew up in the north and was not yet 18 years old!

One afternoon, while training on the track and field, I met two members of the 143rd Regiment (we were both teammates of the 48th Division, but in this sports meeting, we became opponents again), and they asked me, "Shanfeng, how are you practicing?"

I said, "No, it's too hot and the training is not good." ”

The two of them then said: "Then you have to work harder, yesterday afternoon, Xiao Ming (pseudonym) of our regiment was practicing high jumping, and he lifted his leg by 1.70 meters..."

Although I was skeptical of what they were saying, it also caused me some mental pressure to a greater or lesser extent.

On the day of the Games, I paid special attention to the Xiao Ming player, but I soon found out that he did not have the strength of 1.70 meters. Sure enough, at a height of 1.60 meters, he was eliminated!

At this time, it dawned on me: It turned out that the two members of the 143rd Regiment were deliberately releasing smoke bombs to me?

After the race, I said to the two teammates who released the smoke bomb very humorously: "Ha, what a 1.70m leg?

Hahaha... We all laughed!

It's an interesting little story, and it's also a part of my upbringing. In the process, I withstood the pressure, overcame the difficulties, and overcame the smokescreen!

47 years have passed, and when I think about it today, I am still relieved and excited...
