Innovation and entrepreneurship, family education, health care, life aesthetics...... In recent years, the volunteer service project of "Molu Reading Club" in Chenggong District has carried out monthly reading activities with rich content and strong targeting, which have been welcomed by the local people.
In order to play a more accurate role in reading and meet the different needs of the masses in the process of promoting national reading and building a scholarly Chenggong, with the support of the New Era Civilization Practice Center of Chenggong District and the Propaganda Department of the Chenggong District Party Committee, Chenggong District relies on the foundation of the previous work, continues to explore, and innovatively launches the "Molu Reading Club" volunteer service project in December 2021 with the help of the "Bingxin Molu" cultural IP of the former residence of the famous writer Bingxin Kunming.
"One of the highlights of the 'Silent Reading Club' is the branding of reading activities as volunteer services. According to the person in charge of the project, since 2022, the project has planned 5 sections: "Happy Youth", "Classics", "Sunset Red", "Enjoy Parent-Child" and "Reading Life", covering the old, middle, young, young and other age groups, and has carried out a total of 95 online and offline reading activities, attracting more than 3,500 offline audiences to participate, with a maximum of more than 100,000 online viewers at a time, more than 300 volunteers participating, and a total of more than 400 hours of volunteer service. At the same time, it has established a project management system and a volunteer service leader mechanism, integrated teachers and students of colleges and universities in Chenggong, cadres and employees of civilized units at all levels, formed a professional team including core volunteers and stable volunteers, and cooperated with more than 40 authors, experts, industry representatives and other leaders to provide professional services in education, theoretical preaching, culture, literature and art, science and technology popularization, health preservation, legal aid, and green environmental protection.
After continuous building, the volunteer service project of "Molu Reading Club" was selected into the Kunming Volunteer Service Project Library, and won the award in the Kunming Volunteer Service Project Competition, becoming a typical case of Chenggong District spreading civilized practice and practicing volunteer service through reading activities. The project also plans to further go deep into the grassroots and organize and carry out diverse, down-to-earth and popular reading activities, so as to enhance the audience's sense of gain and happiness in reading, and help cultivate a good atmosphere of advocating reading in the whole district.
