In order to alleviate the morning and evening peak traffic pressure in the Tianbao area and open up the broken road, Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone has made every effort to promote the construction of the road project at the intersection of Taihu Road and Taida Street. After nearly 3 months of intense construction, the project has completed the asphalt surface layer of the road, and is installing and laying supporting facilities, which is expected to be officially opened to traffic in early May.
As an important livelihood project in Tianjin Economic Development Zone, the connection project between Taihu Road and TEDA Street starts from the north side of the intersection of Taihu Road and Shengda Street in the south to the south side of the intersection of Taihu Road and TEDA Street in the north, and the main construction content includes road paving, lighting and power supply, intelligent transportation system, drainage system, etc., with a design speed of 40km/h.
It is worth mentioning that the project also renovates and upgrades the motorway, sets up acceleration and deceleration lanes on TEDA Street, and introduces an intelligent transportation system to optimize the management of traffic flow in combination with the peak hour flow at the intersection. After the project is officially opened to traffic, it will further unblock the "capillaries" of urban roads, alleviate traffic pressure, improve regional comprehensive facilities, make it faster and more convenient for residents in the surrounding communities of Tianbao area, and enhance the "sense of gain" and "happiness" of the citizens.
