Yesterday (April 22) was the annual London Marathon Day. This year, more than 50,000 competitors participated in the competition, breaking the record for the largest number of participants in the previous year.
In this competition, Olympic champion Peres Jepchirchir from Kenya won the women's race with a time of 2 hours, 16 minutes and 16 seconds, breaking the women's marathon world record.
Alexander Mutiso Munyao from Kenya won the men's race with a time of 2 hours, 4 minutes and 01 seconds.
In addition to the runners in the elite category, many people participated in the marathon with charitable donations or commemorative and tribute purposes, and their optimism, perseverance and various shapes also brought a special kind of excitement to the race.
