April 23 is World Book Day. In recent years, experts and scholars from the Shao Culture Research Institute of Shaoguan University have done in-depth research on Zhang Jiuling and Jiuling culture, and have published a number of books. In particular, Mr. Xiong Fei is a master of Zhang Jiuling's research in China, and has made fruitful research achievements in related fields.

Zhang Jiuling was an outstanding politician, thinker and writer in the Tang Dynasty, known as "one person in Lingnan", and his "Qujiang Collection" is also known as "the first collection of Lingnan", which has a far-reaching impact on the history and humanities of Lingnan. Politically, Zhang Jiuling was a famous minister of the Kaiyuan Dynasty and a famous politician who inherited and carried forward the atmosphere of Zhenguan; in literature, Zhang Jiuling took over from the four heroes of the early Tang Dynasty and Chen Ziang to guide the literature of the Tang Dynasty to the broad avenue of rejuvenating the elephant, getting rid of the delicate and beautiful poetic style of the Six Dynasties, and opening the precedent of the "light school" in the Tang Dynasty. The brilliant poetry of Wang Meng and Li Du is inseparable from the pioneering work of Zhang Jiuling and others in the poetry arena. Zhang Jiuling is an official who is "still upright" and "upright".

The so-called "uprightness" means to show people with a straight path, adhere to principles, not only superiority, but also show favoritism; "uprightness" means to abide by the right path, to be fair and fair in government, not to be impartial, and not to be a party member. "Jiuling demeanor" is the product of Zhang Jiuling's elegant appearance, combined with his inner character, education, talent, virtue and ethics. Zhang Jiuling's moral conduct left a deep impression on Tang Xuanzong, so he selected talents and balancers with "demeanor like Jiuling".

2. Recommended Bibliography: "Zhang Jiuling's Collection of Proofnotes"

Recommended by: Yang Zhiyuan

Before the publication of Mr. Xiong Fei's "Proofreading of Zhang Jiuling's Collection", there was no complete version of Zhang Jiuling's "Qujiang Collection" in the domestic academic circles. Jiang Yin commented in the preface to Zhang Jiuling's Collected Proofnotes that this book is a complete annotated book that can reflect the level of contemporary research.

The achievements of "Zhang Jiuling's Collection of Proofnotes" are mainly reflected in the following four aspects.

First, in the overall study of the Qujiang Collection, Zhang Jiuling's Proofreading belongs to the 20-volume Qujiang Collection, which is the most comprehensive version of the contemporary Qujiang Collection. Second, in terms of style proofreading, the whole book can be divided into table of contents, preface, preface, examples, main text, appendix, main bibliography and postscript.

In addition, "Zhang Jiuling's Collection of Proofnotes" is based on the first reprint of "Four Serials", "Zhang Zishou's Collected Works" (Nanhai Pan's Collection), and Mr. Xiong Fei also selected "All Tang Poems", "All Tang Literature", "Wenyuan Yinghua" and other books as school books, and flexibly used the proofreading methods of the school, the science school, the school and other schools, and fully absorbed the proofreading results of the predecessors. Third, in terms of annotation and citation, although the annotator adopts the traditional method of citation, he can flexibly use different ages and different types of literature as the basis for annotation, and can explain the gist of the poem in his own language. The annotations include inscriptions, annotations, interpretations, and systems, and also include waka songs, correcting the errors of the predecessors' commentaries, and supplementing their contents. Fourth, in terms of its contribution to Zhang Jiuling's research, Zhang Jiuling's Collected Annotations cited a large number of documents, including the remnants of the long-dead Classics, as well as many ancient words, allusions, famous objects and other poetic works of literati, which have extremely high compilation value and historical value. In addition, Zhang Jiuling's poetry has attracted much attention, while Zhang Jiuling's writing is rarely interested, and the Chinese part of the "Zhang Jiuling Collection Proofnotes" has detailed proofnotes, which undoubtedly provides valuable information for the study of Zhang Jiuling's articles.
