On April 22, the 2024 Special Promotion Training Meeting for the Modernization and Improvement of Facility Agriculture in the Region was held in Ningcheng County, Chifeng City. At the meeting, the Autonomous Region Institute of Green Development Technology for Facility Agriculture and four demonstration bases for the transformation of facility agriculture science and technology in the Autonomous Region were officially inaugurated.
The institute consists of 4 centers: Facility Agricultural Production Technology R&D and Innovation Center, Facility Structure and Materials R&D Innovation Center, Smart Facility Agriculture R&D and Innovation Center, Brand Innovation and Marketing Development Innovation Center, and 4 demonstration bases for the transformation of facility agricultural science and technology in Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Donghe District, Baotou City, Zhunger Banner, Ordos City, and Hangjinhouqi, Bayannur City.
The institute is an autonomous region-level facility agriculture green development technology platform integrating scientific and technological research, technology maturation, achievement transformation, demonstration and promotion, scientific and technological services and other functions. Construct a modern facility agriculture innovation system, focus on researching and solving the key technical bottlenecks restricting the green development of facility agriculture in the autonomous region, integrate and demonstrate the implementation of green and efficient agricultural technologies, train farmers and herdsmen, science and technology demonstration households and new business entities, provide scientific and technological support for the modernization and green development of facility agriculture in the autonomous region, promote high-quality development, and improve the ability of the autonomous region's "vegetable basket" to stabilize production and ensure supply.
