On April 22, BAIC POLAR FOX Alpha S5 opened pre-sale, launching the 708 MAX version and 650 Ultra version, with pre-sale prices of 199,800 yuan and 219,800 yuan respectively. The Alpha S5 and Alpha T5 are based on the same 800-volt silicon carbide module charging high-voltage platform, with a drag coefficient of 0.1925Cd, equipped with the fourth-generation Jifeng Power, providing two types of power, single and dual motors, and a maximum range of 708km.
As of June 30, the next order can enjoy 36,000 yuan of rights, including 25,000 yuan of cash rights and 11,000 yuan of optional rights, after enjoying the cash rights, the price of the two models is 174,800 yuan and 194,800 yuan respectively.
The Alfa S5 is equipped with a closed grille and optional "fang" headlights on both sides, which are highly recognizable when lit. The side of the car features a fastback design with blacked-out door and window moldings, lidar, concealed door handles, and a variety of sports wheels, while the rear is paired with a new blacked-out through-light cluster.
The new car is equipped with an AR-HUD head-up display, a dual-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a floating center control screen, a fragrance box, ambient lighting, a wireless charging version for mobile phones, a dual cup slot, a pocket gear design, and traditional air conditioning air outlets. The function keys on both sides of the front door panels have been adjusted, and the window opening and closing adjustments, door locks and speakers have been more refined.
The Alpha S5 single-motor model has a maximum power of 200kW and is mated to a 79.2kWh ternary lithium battery pack, while the dual-motor four-wheel drive model is equipped with a 200kW front and rear 190kW drive motor and a 79.2kWh ternary lithium battery pack, which can accelerate from zero to 100 in just 3.7 seconds.
