On April 20, the first ship (H3028G) of the "Sea Whale" 85000DWT bulk carrier built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Group, for the National Energy Group Shipping Co., Ltd. was successfully undocked in the Longxue plant, and the undocking score of the ship was as high as 90.7 points, setting a new record for the same type of products.
Zhou Changgen, deputy general manager of Guoneng Ocean Shipping Co., Ltd., attended the undocking ceremony of the ship, expressed his affirmation and gratitude for the continuous advancement of the project node and the gradual improvement of integrity, and placed high hopes on the continuous deepening of cooperation between the two sides.
This type of ship is the "Sea Whale" series of 85,000-ton bulk carriers independently developed by Huangpu Wenchong, with a total length of 228.90m, a width of 36.00m, a depth of 20.15m, a structural draft of 14m, a deadweight of 85,000T, and an economic speed of 14kn.
During the commencement stage of the ship, the project team implemented the lean management concept, steadily improved the progress in accordance with the company's requirements, and realized the segmented manufacturing cycle increased by 1 month.
In the dock construction stage, all relevant departments made concerted efforts to successfully complete the major key nodes, including the dock structure operation, engine room closed painting, distribution board energization, power generation motor vehicle, whole ship liquid tank, ballast tank grinding, etc., which greatly reduced the wharf tilt test cycle, improved the overall progress of the cargo hold, and for the first time reached the complete inspection of the cargo hold, and the successful completion of the hydraulic pipe pressure test of the hatch cover for the first time, which created the prerequisite conditions for the subsequent installation and commissioning of the dock hatch cover and laid a favorable foundation.
At present, Huangpu Wenchong has delivered a total of 8 "Sea Whale" 85000DWT bulk carriers, all of which are built by the Marine Division.
