The origin of World Book Day
World Book and Copyright Day is celebrated on April 23 every year, also known as World Book and Copyright Day. The original idea came from the International Publishers Association, which was transferred from Spain to UNESCO. On November 15, 1995, April 23 was officially designated as "World Book Day". It was established to encourage more people to read and write, and hoped that all people would respect and thank the masters of literature, culture, science and thought who have made great contributions to human civilization, and protect intellectual property rights. Every year on this day, more than 100 countries around the world hold various celebrations and book promotions.
