A few days ago, Chengdu Tianfu International Airport was officially put into operation, and a "Cloud on Tianfu" aerial video was screened in the circle of friends, and everyone who watched it was amazed by the shock of the new airport!

Can't help but ask: Who is the filmmaker of the video? What are the little-known stories between the people behind this video shoot and the new airport?

The divine bird reflects the moon

Yes, his name is Chen Cheng, and he is a post-90s photographer. His story with the new airport didn't start this year. As early as 2019, Chen Cheng, together with his photography team, began to shoot "Adventures" at the new airport.

Chen Cheng

"In the past two years, our team has traveled back and forth to the new airport more than 60 times, and the preparation must be very sufficient: through the application of the Western Theater Air Traffic Control Office, full communication with the airport group and Tianfu Branch, reporting to the airport public security and flight control center, and confirming whether there is a flight mission before each aerial takeoff... After a series of processes, you can start aerial photography. ”

As a result, we can see a Tianfu International Airport at different times and from different angles from Chen Cheng's lens. The shock of this behemoth is also vividly reflected in Chen Cheng's lens!

In a photographer's day, it is common to wear the moon, after all, only by stepping into the land that is difficult for ordinary people to reach can you see a rare scenery. In order to take a photo of the bird spreading its wings under the morning sun, Chen Cheng and his team would predict the weather the next day the day before, and then get up at three o'clock in the morning to prepare for shooting, so they had the following photo.

When you go through a period of hard work and hard work, the moment the goal is achieved, your heart is full of mixed feelings. On June 27, Tianfu International Airport was officially put into operation, and when the cheers and praises poured in from all sides, Chen Cheng silently wrote the following words in the circle of friends:

Tianfu Airport has been officially opened. Our work has also come to an end. Ten years of Tianfu Airport, it ended like this, and there was a trace of inexplicable sadness. It is also a work that I have left with a few friends that is at least in our opinion a proud work.

In fact, this is a work loved by too many people, and the major media have reprinted it and reported it. What could be more glorious to a recorder?

Just like shooting and recording such a big election topic and big event as Tianfu International Airport, as a Chengdu person, recording the city has naturally become the subject of Chen Cheng's long-term shooting.

"Photographing Chengdu stems from my love for the city and my love for photography."

So, from Chen Cheng's lens, we saw a cool Chengdu that you have never seen before!

In 2018, the first year of the construction of Chengdu Park City, from space construction to scene creation, from ecology to format, from production mode to lifestyle, this Chengdu of Du Fu's "Flower Heavy Jin Official City" has opened an active exploration of a new path for reshaping urban values in the new era.

Chen Cheng, on the other hand, also continues to pay attention to the profound changes brought to the city by the construction of the park city, and records it with his lens.

Many people say that the night in Chengdu is one of the reasons to fall in love with Chengdu.

Yes, the Nine Eyes Bridge is brightly lit at night, and under the stimulation of music and alcohol, you will feel that every second here is the most joyful enjoyment of the world.

Most of the beautiful pictures of these cities we see so far are taken by climbing stairs or aerial photographs. Chen is also a founding member of the CHAPA Chengdu Aerial Photography Alliance. The Photography Alliance, founded on October 25, 2018, began as 8 like-minded photography enthusiasts who often climbed the city's tall buildings together to document the city's development. Chen Cheng said that with the rapid development of Chengdu in recent years, in fact, Chengdu and even Chengdu's photography circle needs a platform to speak out for the most ordinary photographers who love to shoot and record Chengdu. Chapa Chengdu Aerial Photography Alliance came into being under such circumstances.

"Our name is Chengdu Aerial Photography Alliance, commonly known as climbing the stairs. But everyone's shooting field is not limited to this, involving a wide range of aspects: aerial photography, city scenery, outdoor scenery, portraits, humanities... Everything about good things, we are happy to record. ”

"The city is beautiful because of me, and the image is because of me!" This is the purpose of CHAPA. In fact, we can read the love from the works of photographers.

Seongnam at night

At night in Chengdu, there can still be a lot of poses, but we would like to say that there is no doubt that all angles are loved!

However, what we don't know is that behind this beautiful blockbuster is the countless days of early departure and late return of high-altitude photographers, and the extremely hard work. However, accurately judging the weather, grasping the timing, and grasping the best shooting time are also a photographer's ability in addition to luck.

"The most impressive shot was on April 10, 2019, and I believe many photographers still remember it. It was Wednesday, it was raining in Chengdu, and the photographers in the CHAPA group were not hopeful about the weather on this day. In the evening, the rain stopped, the wind was particularly strong, and I looked through the window and saw some light in the west gate. Chen Cheng and another photographer, Feng Jin, decided to climb to the top of the building and try their luck, they thought there might be drama.

Sure enough, at 7 o'clock, just when the sky was about to turn black, the burning clouds west of Chengdu suddenly came out! And it changed quickly, and it became more and more spectacular, and the whole scene lasted only about 10 minutes.

This is one of the few "out-of-print weather" in Chengdu in a year! Chen Cheng and Feng Jin both captured this rare sky beauty. But not all photographers have jumped at this opportunity.

This may be the time and place in the shooting. Accurate judgment, persistence and belief, there will be surprises.

On May 9, 2020, Chengdu was photographed in Longquan Mountain. This was also an unexpected surprise, Chen Cheng and Feng Jin together photographed a rare sunset "Need for Light", the distant mountains emerged, and the snowy mountains in western Sichuan were set off behind the city.

Under the lens of aerial photographers, Chengdu's landmarks, such as 339, Global Center, Tianfu Square, Financial City, etc., are all ways they are willing to adopt composition. From this, we will see the different aspects of the most beautiful Chengdu.

Mr. Chen said he hadn't left Chengdu in months. He then wants to spend more time exploring the great rivers and mountains of the motherland.

In fact, going out to shoot is not an easy task. To make plans, drive, when shooting, always chase the sunrise and sunset starry sky, wind and food and sleeping is the norm for photographers, and you must also face unexpected situations that may come. Still, he enjoyed it.

The King's Top Hat, filmed at Yaha Yakou. In 2019, Chen Cheng won the first prize in the nature category of the China Division of the National Geographic Annual Global Photography Competition with this work.

"I think photographers should not only express beauty, but also convey love."

Express beauty and convey love. This may be the greatest value of a photographer, if the viewer can empathize, or even surpass, I am afraid that it is a photographer's happiest moment.

Let us follow Chen Cheng's lens and wander around the world to see this ever-changing beautiful world and feel the great beauty and love flowing naturally.

"For me, photography is not only my survival skill, it is also a habit of my life."

When it comes to how to define himself, he calls himself a photography enthusiast. Because he feels that he still has too much room for improvement, whether it is from the perspective of photography skills, or the recognition and understanding of the world.

Whether it is Versailles or sober self-awareness, in short, we look forward to chen cheng, a "photography enthusiast", who can bring us more and more wonderful visual enjoyment in the future.
